Li Shisui is an idle deity.
Not because she has nothing to do all day, but because she is in charge of the world's trivial matters.
Things like how much fur a kitten sheds in a day, how many petals a wildflower bud has, and how many times a mortal sneezes when they catch a chill.
With no real authority, Li Shisui is quite content. She spends her days wandering the human world and has never once been caught by her colleagues.
One day, as usual, she pretends to be mortal and samples the delicacies of the earthly realm, when she unexpectedly meets someone she gets along with wonderfully.
His name is Li Tingyu.
He's an expert at eating and enjoying life, and he and Li Shisui are two of a kind.
The two spend their days eating, drinking, and having fun, living in carefree bliss.
But Li Tingyu never tells Li Shisui that he is gravely ill and has only a few years left to live.
When they encounter bandits on the road, Li Tingyu knows his time is nearly up. He decides he might as well trade his life for Li Shisui's safety.
He calmly faces death beneath the bandits' curved blades and becomes a wandering spirit.
He has barely left his still-warm corpse behind when he sees Li Shisui casually send more than a dozen bandits flying.
Li Tingyu stands there, stunned. Before he can even figure out what happened, Li Shisui turns to look at him curiously.
"Li Tingyu, why were you in such a hurry to die?"
Furious, Li Tingyu slaps Li Shisui, but he's only a ghost, so of course he can't hurt a true deity like her.
"If you'd told me you were a god, I wouldn't have had to die!"
[Reading Guide]
1. This is a lighthearted story. The author's brain is all used up from writing other things, so this one should be slice-of-life.
2. The leads are exclusive to each other. There won't be any melodramatic twists, and the male lead will become a ghost in the literal sense.
Theme: Enjoy every day of a happy life
