A quick summary:
During the war between immortals and demons, the immortal lord is ambushed and defeated, then falls into a demon lair. Just as he is about to be dragged from his lofty pedestal, the female lead, a demonic artisan, takes him away.
The artisan belongs to a secret branch of the demon race, skilled in craftsmanship. She excels at medicine, artistry, manipulation, and making puppets. Her abilities are so extraordinary that she can repair things thought impossible to restore, including immortal bones.
Though the female lead is a demon, she always looks expressionless. In truth, her mind is full of activity.
The immortal lord despises demons, and immortals and demons are sworn enemies. The two clash and struggle, the immortal lord gets put in his place, and then the female lead repairs him.
...And so on, with all sorts of lovey-dovey antics. In the end, the immortal lord recovers his peak strength and even surpasses it.
The world is stunned to learn that the immortal lord has ended up with a demon.
What the world doesn't know is that the immortal lord is the one on the bottom, his usually cool and restrained face a tearful mess.
