My other novel, Three Matches, is fully written and ready to post. It’s a short story of twenty to thirty thousand words. I’d love for you all to check it out. It opens on October 6.
Gentle, dependable top who gives quietly × socially anxious, attentive bottom who fights for love
Chu Zhiyue × Lin Shiyang
Lin Shiyang’s greatest, and only, obsession in life was finding his older brother, who had been missing for many years.
He lived quietly within the Order Bureau’s stable routine, following the rules and leading an ordinary life. He thought he would spend the rest of his days in that same unchanging order.
Until Chu Zhiyue appeared out of nowhere.
The unfamiliar man’s gaze was unwavering. He said only one thing to Lin Shiyang: “I can help you find your brother.”
Who would believe the promise of a stranger? Yet Lin Shiyang trusted him without reservation.
Having never entered a single instance before, Lin Shiyang was forcibly dragged into a fusion of instances.
His second instance was one all players avoided, tied to “resetting to zero.”
Even stranger, this unfamiliar, illusory realm held fragments of memories that did not belong there, yet belonged to him alone.
The rules collapsed, and order was turned upside down.
The Order Bureau, which should have protected the players, concealed deadly dangers. Pursuers closed in from the shadows, and the real and false worlds fell completely out of alignment.
As they ventured deeper into the illusion, more and more disordered memories returned.
Lin Shiyang became increasingly certain:
He and Chu Zhiyue had definitely met before.
They had known each other for a very long time, across countless cycles through countless worlds.
Chu Zhiyue remained clear-headed and restrained, hiding the secrets of an entire world, silently protecting him every time.
This was Chu Zhiyue’s seventh cycle.
The rules of the instances had remained stable through the first six cycles, but this time everything spiraled out of control.
The skills Chu Zhiyue had relied on to hide the truth all failed. This crumbling illusion was most likely the last world he would ever walk through with Lin Shiyang.
His lies were on the verge of being exposed, and he could no longer hide even a trace of his love.
With a flicker of hesitation weighing on his heart, Lin Shiyang asked softly, his voice full of nerves as he wagered everything: “Chu Zhiyue, if I choose to reset, will you fall in love with me again?”
The man’s gaze was gentle and reverent, his love, borne through seven cycles, so profound it was almost unbearable.
“Lin Shiyang, I’ve already fallen in love with you seven times.”
Setting notes:
A fictional world of instances | Parallel worlds × multiple cycles | Fated love in both directions
Ensemble cast with an independent story arc for every character
The cycles are not a simple case of being reborn; they’re closer to successive world iterations and parallel timelines
Theme: Love on repeat
First of all, it is recommended that the main text should be filled with empty paragraphs to make it easier to read! After reading the first copy, I felt that the rules were quite interesting, but the ending was a little rushed. How could Xiaoyue, a human, cooperate with a female ghost? How can you create an illusion? There is also the background of this story. The first world entered very quickly, but the background of the article has not been completely laid out. So after everyone enters the dungeon, there is a certain degree of curiosity about why the dungeon appears and what kind of world setting it is now. (If I haven't seen what is written later, you can also lay it out in the front. Also, I don't know the name of the Minister of Internal Affairs in Chapter 11, but it was all deleted by jj hahaha However, the above are all personal opinions and are for reference only. If there are any presumptuous comments, please don't mind! The protagonist Gong has been silently guarding him, and the foreshadowing has been laid since the first few chapters, and his actions are also very mysterious. He has always been with the protagonist Shou to protect him and give him guidance. Interesting stories, I will save them first and continue to read them when I have time! I wish you a better writing career and a prosperous literary career!
