Chi Yuyu is a cat spirit.
One day, she is caught in a trap. After dying, she is bound to a System and must complete missions to keep living.
Chi Yuyu takes it in stride. All she needs is a servant to help her cultivate and wait on her, that's all.
Unfortunately, this servant is terribly poor.
So this dignified little cat has no choice but to earn money and support the household. Luckily, making money is a piece of cake for a kitty!
-
After Xie Wenzhou, who never knew where his next meal was coming from, picked up a cat, his life took a turn for the better.
When the family ran out of money, the little cat dug up a lingzhi mushroom in the mountains.
When they ran out of food, a rabbit came bounding to their door and knocked itself unconscious.
Xie Wenzhou always thought meeting the little cat was a stroke of luck. He would work hard to earn money for dried fish and turn her little nest into a golden palace.
-
Xie Wenzhou always thought he and the little cat would depend on each other forever.
It wasn't until the little cat left without a word that he understood: ordinary mortals never earn the favor of Heaven.
After she left, Xie Wenzhou climbed the ladder by any means necessary. He had to stand high enough, with enough power and money, to dare hope he could stay by her side.
-
Xie Wenzhou leaned against her knees, just as he used to when she was a kitten curled up in his lap.
He held her hand and gently brushed his cheek against its back, speaking softly, afraid to disturb a fragile dream.
"Without you, I'm nothing..."
He used to think that if he climbed a little higher, then a little higher still, he could stay by her side.
Before he met Chi Yuyu, his life held no hope. He struggled in the mud, and even getting enough to eat was a luxury.
Only after the little cat appeared did he slowly understand: it was never the gods who had favored him. She was his god.
One-on-one, both leads are sexually inexperienced, a slow and steady romance, happy ending.
Theme: Love and hard work, growing together.
