[The Purification of Third Miss Pu: ππ₯΄π«¦πβοΈπ€‘π‘π« π₯Ήππ₯΅π§ββοΈπ©πΌββ€οΈβπβπ©π»π]
The day Huai Yin was proposed to, the third young lady of the Po family swallowed jade.
An ambulance passed the flower-filled proposal scene, its siren shrill.
After hearing that the young lady had nearly died, Huai Yin agonized over it for a long while before deciding to visit her at the hospital.
She didn't go inside. She only took a distant look, and was about to leave when dozens of bodyguards suddenly appeared and surrounded her.
The woman who should have been in her hospital room was now sitting in a wheelchair, being pushed toward her.
Pu Yanning had picture-perfect features, her pale green eyes glinting with a strange light.
She smiled tenderly, but swallowing jade had left her once-sweet voice hoarse and ominous, sending a chill through anyone who heard it:
"Long time no see, Yinyin. I heard you accepted someone else's proposal."
"Didn't you know? Bigamy is illegal in your country ^_^"

Three years ago, no one had any faith in the marriage between Huai Yin and Pu Yanning. As it turned out, they were right.
After learning that their marriage certificate was fake, and that Pu Yanning had only wanted to see an Alpha grovel before her and had toyed with her for fun, Huai Yin had canceled all her identity documents overnight and disappeared without a trace.
Three years later, she was locked away in Pu Yanning's manor. Even the pitifully little free time she got each day could only be earned by pleasing Pu Yanning in bed.
Looking at Pu Yanning, who clung to her like a madwoman and never stopped demanding more, Huai Yin asked, "How much longer until you'll let me go back and get married?"
If Pu Yanning had only resented her for leaving without a word, surely all this torment would have been enough to satisfy her by now.
But when Pu Yanning heard that, she suddenly laughed. "What does that kind of fiancee have that's worth going back for? I only had to apply a little pressure, and she sold you to me straightaway."
Her tone was cruel, like a verdict. "Poor Huai Yin. Why are there only bad women in your life?"

Huai Yin used to think Pu Yanning was beyond saving, too.
Until one day, by chance, she came across that fake marriage certificate from three years ago.
The coarse paper had long since yellowed and faded.
It was dotted with tear stains.
They were the only glimpse of true feelings this woman, the darling of heaven, had allowed anyone to see in the three years since Huai Yin left.
