My Love Didn't Pass Me By

It wasn't even Wednesday yet, and Ji Cheng and Jiang Zhen had already had their third fight of the week.

Ji Cheng thought they both needed to cool off. He was going out for some air. Jiang Zhen said, "If you walk out that door today, don't bother coming back!"

Ji Cheng's steps were weary, but he still walked out with determination.

Before the front door closed, the last thing he heard was Jiang Zhen's near-hysterical shout: "Ji Cheng, you bastard! We're breaking up!"

Ji Cheng couldn't understand it. He and Jiang Zhen had eloped five years ago. They'd made it through their hardest, most exhausting days together, so why were they constantly fighting or giving each other the cold shoulder now that life was good?

And every fight followed the same strange pattern: Jiang Zhen would demand a breakup, and Ji Cheng would apologize. Even when he had no idea what he'd done wrong, or why Young Master Jiang wanted to break up.

This time, Ji Cheng didn't want to back down.

But when had Jiang Zhen ever backed down? Jiang Zhen never gave in to anyone.

As Ji Cheng thought this, the shrill sound of brakes rang in his ears.

Before he lost consciousness, he had only one thought: He should have apologized.

He shouldn't have ignored Jiang Zhen. He'd never be able to go back.

When Ji Cheng opened his eyes again, he had been reborn as Hua Lin, the pampered young master of the Hua family.

He accepted this new reality in no time and used his new identity to find Jiang Zhen.

Somewhere along the way, the willful young master who never bothered with the company's affairs had learned to stand on his own. The cold expression he wore in negotiations was just like Ji Cheng's once had been.

Ji Cheng's feelings were complicated. He didn't know whether to be happy or sad. Still, he put his terms on the table without hesitation: Marry me.

He watched his ice-cold lover pull a gleaming knife from his pocket.

A once-willful, hot-tempered, prideful young master who never said what he meant, now a resilient widower top x a previously self-made, composed, reserved, stern CEO, now reborn as a powerful, possessive young master bottom
