The wind at Railway Middle School couldn't dispel the hidden tides in the boys' hearts.
Gu Zeyang is a dazzling sun, outgoing and fond of making friends, yet he falls in love at first sight with the gentle Zeng Yi, throwing himself wholeheartedly into a tender first crush. He doesn't know that the cold, obsessive Mu Bai has already claimed him as his own. Any girl who gets close to Gu Zeyang is quietly alienated and slandered by Mu Bai, until Gu becomes an isolated island no one dares approach.
Chen Yu has been Gu Zeyang's childhood friend since they were little. Quiet and reserved, he has stayed by Gu's side for over a decade, hiding a love he won't even admit to himself. Yet whenever others criticize Gu Zeyang, Chen Yu instinctively agrees, sinking deeper into the muddle of loving without realizing it.
Zeng Yi once had a soft spot for Mu Bai, but gradually fell for Gu Zeyang's passionate pursuit. Mu Bai's schemes then drove a wedge between them. Gu Zeyang pursued her without success and turned to her best friend, Lin Yao, only to hit rock bottom when a misunderstanding with a teacher led Lin Yao to deny their relationship in public.
When he looks back toward Zeng Yi again, she's grown very close to Mu Bai. Without even realizing it, however, she's begun to harbor the same secret feelings as Chen Yu. She acts close to Gu, yet can't help speaking ill of him behind his back, concealing unrecognized deep affection beneath her innocent possessiveness.
The boys by the railway tracks are entangled in unrequited love, misunderstandings, possessiveness, and emotional turmoil. The undercurrents in their hearts surge without end, and will eventually sweep away every disguise, revealing the most burning and most cruel truths.

Through an ensemble portrait of youth at Railway Middle School, the story depicts the growing pains of young people grappling with possessiveness, unrequited love, misunderstandings, and self-awareness. It explores the complexity of hidden teenage feelings: the confusion of loving without realizing it, the distortion of extreme possessiveness, and the helplessness of sincere feelings caught up in rumors. Ultimately, it points toward the lessons of facing one's heart, breaking through prejudice, and learning respect and restraint, as the boys discover the meaning of genuine feelings and boundaries amid the surging tides of their hearts.
