One day, the new game she had been eagerly awaiting finally went on sale.
Zhaoying rushed home in a hurry and ran straight into the arms of a stranger.
She quickly steadied herself and looked up. The young man before her wore traditional Chinese-style clothes and had long, raven-blue hair. His face was beautiful yet striking, and his eyes were cool yet clear.
Zhaoying: Hi, are you the blind date my mom introduced? I took one look at your face and decided you seem qualified for the position of my boyfriend. Could you send me your ID card, household registration book, and bank card so I can take a look?
The young man tilted his head slightly, and his water-like hair flowed down over his shoulders.
He said softly, "Are you Zhaoying? I'm your uncle."
Zhaoying: ...? Since when did I have an uncle?
Oh, right. Dad said that last time he went hiking and got into danger, someone rescued him, so he wanted to acknowledge that person as his younger brother.
...Why not acknowledge him as a son-in-law instead!
Dad! I'm going to settle this with you!!!!!

She heard her uncle was already in his thirties. That really was a bit old. Zhaoying, a college student in the prime of her youth, felt a pang of regret. After all, young grass shouldn't have to chew on old hay, so she would just treat him as her actual uncle.
But her uncle really was acting strange.
He didn't know how to use a phone, made no sound when he walked, and stayed cooped up in his room all day, even in winter. This week, he hadn't gone out for three whole days.
Zhaoying was so worried that she couldn't help taking the key and forcing open his door. She never expected a snake's tail to coil around her and drag her inside.
Her uncle was lying on the bed, the lower half of his body covered in snake scales. His eyes were rimmed with a wanton red, and his tail writhed and rubbed as it slipped away, as if he were in extreme pain.
More importantly! The snake scales were creeping lower and lower from his waist. She, she was going to get a stye!
Her uncle gripped her wrist and murmured in a broken voice, "Zhaoying, don't hide from me, okay?"
This isn't about whether I hide from you! Could you cover yourself with the blanket first, please!!!
