During a sniper mission, the sniper and spotter have to stay close while avoiding physical contact.
If there isn't a suitable support for the sniper rifle during a mission, the spotter has to steady the rifle for the sniper.
But humans breathe and have heartbeats. Even the slightest movement can throw off the sniper's line of sight and affect the point of impact.
