During finals week, overwhelmed Yun Ruoshui found her perfect sleep aid: half an hour of listening to apocalypse hoarding novels before bed.
When she woke up, Yun Ruoshui carefully checked the phone beside her and laughed in disbelief.
The good news: she no longer had to worry about finals, at least for now.
The bad news: she had transmigrated into a book.
Because she always fell asleep after listening for half an hour, Yun Ruoshui had no idea what happened after chapter thirty. All she remembered was that the original heroine was a ruthless killing machine who fought and killed her way forward, while the original male lead was a total lone wolf.
But she was only a supporting female character! Even after transmigrating into the book, she wasn't physically fit enough to cling to the leads and join them in killing and looting.
Yun Ruoshui decided to rely on her information advantage and golden finger to stockpile supplies and lie low. She still hadn't learned to ride a bicycle, so there was no way she could handle anything that required coordinating all four limbs.
Unexpectedly, halfway through her diligent stockpiling, the book's conveniently available villainous supporting male character caught her at it.
Looking at the little villain, whose face was as cold as ice and who hadn't yet become a stepping stone for the leads, Yun Ruoshui kindly raised her voice and added a few gestures with both hands. "I suggest you stock up on hearing aids. If yours break in a few days, they'll be hard to get after that."
The little villain looked utterly baffled. "Are you cursing me?"
Yun Ruoshui snapped, "Are you insane?"

- The male lead has completely lost his hearing in both ears. Without hearing aids, he can't hear anything.
