Song Muxian has a book he keeps reading over and over.
Its protagonist goes from a brilliant young general to losing his entire family, then dying unjustly in prison.
Reading the words, Song Muxian feels as if he has lived through it all himself.
He imagines that if he stood beside the protagonist, he could use all his knowledge to help him.
He becomes obsessed, forgetting that his own life is far from happy.
Yan Wuhui has someone in his heart: a silver-haired man in white, so beautiful he looks like a god, impossible to forget after one glance.
But that man doesn't love him, and even destroyed his home.
A chasm as vast as the Milky Way lies between them. They were never meant to stand together in this lifetime. It was Yan Wuhui's selfish desire that forced them together.
In his heart, he never denies that he loves him. But seeing him fall into the mud, stripped of all his former glory, makes his heart ache so much that he wants to kill him.
