To be honest, what I'm doing may well be because I covet that position. But do I truly want it, deep down? I can't say.
All I know is that I absolutely refuse to let you lose your good name in your later years. So I'm willing both to defy the natural order and commit the gravest offense against you, and to lay down my weapon and never resist again, all for your sake. It may sound contradictory, but both sides are truly me.
