Reader's guide:

1. One-on-one, both pure and each other's first love. The other protagonist from the original story will have no romantic entanglement with the bottom (important), though he may share some positive interactions and bonds with the top.

2. The bottom falls in love and realizes his feelings first, but misunderstandings and various complications arise. The top fakes his death, the bottom goes mad and pursues him. At heart, it's mutual devotion and pure love, perhaps slightly top-focused.
