An Yi was used to being a grad student grinding from eight in the morning until ten at night, so when she first saw the "Tourism System," she had trouble adjusting.
All she had to do was follow the System's map, enjoy the scenery, and take a few walks to gain supernatural abilities.
This was nothing like the swords-and-sorcery transmigration heroine's story she had imagined!
After making a name for herself among travel bloggers, she took a wrong turn by mistake and was approached by a strange person in a cloak. Only then did she realize that the main storyline she was supposed to follow seemed to run counter to the System's route map.
That's when she learned that she was an employed priest who had skipped work for a month to travel the world.
A priest's job was as dangerous as it got. Her role had changed from traveling the world to "eliminating evil and saving the world."
So the exhausted An Yi took on two jobs, forced to fight on two fronts: her dangerous work as a priest and the System's mandatory sightseeing route.
Her old eight-to-ten grind had been better!
But something seemed wrong with this System. It was always trying to get in the way of her work:
She headed north to save someone, and the System flashed red exclamation marks like crazy: Go whale-watching in the south!
She was going east to capture a spirit, and the System shrilled: Watch the sunrise at West Mountain!
She went south to preside over a ritual, and the System threatened her outright: "You won't go see the aurora in the Far North? I'll delete your abilities and turn you back into an ordinary person!"
An Yi, who had never been threatened in her life, completely lost it. "Nether Lantern! You useless thing! You're alive?! Have you been leading me astray this whole time?!"
An Yi battled wits with this "damned System" and traveled across half the map.
Then, ignoring the wall of warnings the System had thrown across her field of vision, she went to a graveyard...
