My main updates are on another site. I wrote this one when I was immature, and the writing is a little hard to look at, so I've put it on hold for now.
[Sweet-faced, scheming transmigrator heroine x proud, innocent, sickly hero]
[Each other's first love!!!]
[A cannon-fodder passerby makes a comeback, going from unknown to famous throughout the martial world! An ensemble martial-arts adventure, with a heroine who grows into a formidable leading lady 🦊]
Here's the [unserious blurb]
This martial world is full of strife and deceit. The greatest mistake is trusting people too easily!
Chu Liandong: So? What does all this fighting have to do with me, a cannon fodder who spends every day farming and gathering herbs?
Chu Liandong remembered making a snarky comment that her friend had written a clichéd story, only to transmigrate into the book that very night. She wasn't a hero or a noblewoman, but an orphan with no connections and malnutrition.
"What a start without parents. Am I a protagonist with a tragic past?"
"No, you're not."
"Then what am I?"
"You're really just an orphan. Also, it's spring now, so you'd better get out and farm. Remember to gather herbs and deliver them when you're done, or you won't have money to buy steamed corn buns."
"Fine..."
She thought she'd live out her uneventful (exhausting) days (nearly dying of fatigue), but eventually the plot came looking for her!
"The plot's finally started! I knew I was the protagonist!"
"You're really not. You're a cannon-fodder herb gatherer who's about to die, killed with a single blow."
"I don't believe you!!!"
An unknown figure in black held a greatsword that gleamed in the morning light.
"I believe you..."
After barely escaping death, she didn't even have time to celebrate before being told that because she'd survived, the original male second lead was going to die.
Chu Liandong: "I know the difference between a cannon-fodder nobody like me and the second male lead. If one of us has to die, then let him die!"
"...But the plot went off the rails because of you. The second male lead isn't supposed to die. You're responsible for him now!"
Chu Liandong: "That's the female lead's job, not mine. I'm just cannon fodder, unless you admit I'm the protagonist!"
"..."
Later, Chu Liandong rescued people, followed the plot, played matchmaker, and protected her precarious little life. Somehow, she actually made it all the way to the ending.
"Hehe, I told you I was the protagonist!"
"...Damn it!"
Theme: Even when trapped, keep your heart turned toward the sun.
