Mermaids, Jiaoren, water spirits, sirens... Humans have bestowed all sorts of names upon this wondrous and mysterious race. Achelous, a child of the sea born in the Aegean, is still gloriously single, even though all the others born alongside him have long since found their beloveds and live in perfect harmony.
But perhaps the god of love has suddenly taken pity on this siren who has wandered for a thousand years. At the scene of a murder he happened to witness, he met his singer: a black-clad assassin with moonlight-silver hair.
And so, after saying goodbye to his friend, the mermaid resolutely infiltrated the organization to observe him up close. A few mishaps happened along the way, but fortune favors the persistent. After narrowly missing each other several times, the mermaid finally got his first mission with Gin.
In the dim, suggestive light, he waited for his partner, whose face was flushed and whose body swayed unsteadily.

1. There are original characters and maybe some not-too-ridiculous mind games. The protagonist is beautiful, strong, and not too miserable. Any suffering later on is intentional, all part of the plan to turn himself into a puppy soaked by the rain. Yeah.
2. The police academy group will all be saved, though the protagonist won't necessarily be the one to save them all. Some are saved thanks to the butterfly effect.
3. If the protagonist's name is too long to remember, just use his nickname: A-Luo.
