A Moonful of Love

Youthful, top-of-the-class boy x quiet, gentle girl

On the first day after transferring schools, Lin Yaoyue met Xie Qingwei.

He stood in the afternoon sunlight, showing her the way and helping her out of a jam, as warm as a summer breeze.

From then on, Lin Yaoyue's world fell into a plum-rain season called unrequited love.

Like every other girl who liked him, she'd steal glances at him amid the crowds. She'd save the voice messages he sent casually and listen to them over and over late at night. When other girls approached him, she'd quietly write in her diary: “Being jealous is so petty. How am I supposed to tell you?”

Later, he was admitted to university early and graduated ahead of schedule, fading from Lin Yaoyue's life. The next time they met was on graduation photo day.

The courage she'd been gathering throughout her youth ultimately became nothing more than a quiet blessing.

The boy looked at her, his eyes curving into a smile, and earnestly replied, “Good luck on your college entrance exams. I hope you're happy every day.”

Lin Yaoyue did everything she could to get into the same university as him, thinking that her unrequited love would remain a one-sided romance with no end in sight.

Until, at a university dinner, someone laughingly teased him and asked if he had someone in his heart.

Amid the noise, he suddenly looked up, his gaze settling firmly on her, his voice more serious than ever:

“I do.”

At that moment, the plum-rain season in her world finally came to an end.

The feelings she'd kept hidden blossomed quietly the instant his gaze fell on her.
