One-day free read on August 22 🐾
If Shoko weren't a doctor, what would she do?
On the day an ordinary office worker named Shoko quits her job, she finds a white cat nearly broken in half.
After nursing it back to health, she joins forces with the nearly bankrupt pet hospital downstairs and opens a cat cafe, making the cat work to pay off its medical bills.
The cafe does okay, neither bustling nor dead. A month later, the cat brings back a black fox with a missing paw. It gives Shoko a strange look.
Shoko thinks life can't get any more absurd than this, but she never expected...
An energetic trio of elementary school kids comes by every day to pet the cat and tease the fox. The twin sisters in the class next door press against the glass, looking conflicted. A dark-circled graduate student asks if she needs an assistant, even if they work for free. And there's a strange office worker who spends half an hour at the cafe every time, staring at the latte art she serves.
Faced with all these unwelcome visitors, Shoko says expressionlessly, "I just want to lie flat."
The cat rubs against her left ankle.
The fox curls up beside her right ankle.
"All right, this isn't so bad."
Reading Notes:
1. Reincarnation with no cursed energy. Shoko-centered, with a friendship focus for SatoSuguShoko.
2. Shoko has no memories, everyone else does.
3. Lighthearted and healing. No need to think too hard (the everyday-life arc is done, and the non-everyday arc has wrapped up its mischief).
This story is expected to finish on June 3, so here's a preview of my upcoming story, already fully drafted: [Gojo x Yuuji] Gojo Chubby Has Something to Say
Blurb:
Hello, human over there. I'm Chubby.
To be precise, I'm Gojo Chubby, a cotton creature with a round body, white hair, and stubby limbs. I can't even change my expression, so I make a living by being cute.
Human, why are you looking at me so suspiciously? Sure, Chubby's eyes are embroidered, but I still have excellent 20/20 vision in both eyes. I can tell at a glance when you're suspicious!
Fine, fine. I'll tell you the truth.
I'm the strongest sorcerer in the jujutsu world, back from hell with my soul possessing the black, shiny little egg in front of you.
My resentment was so intense even the King of Hell couldn't take it, so he had no choice but to send me back to the mortal world to raise hell. Specifically, first I'll go to the Higher-ups and crush a few rotten oranges, then I'll plow through the curse users' territory, killing anyone I see, and slaughtering two if I see two...
Just kidding. I'm not that bored.
Haha, did I scare you?
Isn't that... hilarious!
After all, as Chubby, even my features are just simple embroidered lines. My arms are so short that I can't even hold my belly while laughing!
So even if you see me smiling, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm feeling happy at that moment, you know?
Maybe Chubby is silently crying inside right now...
Of course, that's a lie too!
All right, all right, that's enough jokes for now.
Human, have you seen my students?
I, Gojo-sensei, was having a lovely hot spring soak in the lava, admiring the endless field of red spider lilies swaying in the breeze beside me. But I kept receiving things burned over from the living world.
Once or twice was fine, but then they just kept coming. Before long, even the lava hot spring was almost full of them.
My best friend was so fed up with his soak being ruined that he kicked me out of the afterlife! Then I got stuffed into a round, shiny surprise egg!
What an unbearable humiliation!
But anyway, they're my students. What else can I do?
I'll just have to go pay everyone and the jujutsu world a visit, as Gojo-sensei (round version)!
Reading Notes:
* Chubby is the sort of creature who lies.
* Only Yuuji and Yuta appear. Assume everyone else is dead unless stated otherwise.
* A road story about two old men in their seventies or eighties and one Chubby.
* Serious tone, not necessarily lighthearted all the way through.
Theme: Tomorrow will be better. That doesn't mean life has no troubles, but that someone is willing to face them with you. You'll meet all sorts of people and encounter all sorts of things, perhaps new surprises or new troubles. Either way, look forward to each new day. When you look back, you'll realize just how far you've come.
I don't know why the last sentence is so humorous
Is your map of Yan State too short? 🐶
So it's not the old lady Qiang or the 85 Eternal Youth Tiger in the sequel. I feel that the character is that of a high school student. It's great that it's full of energy.
The doctor is a mysterious figure, even now he still doesn't have a name [Compare Heart]
I have never understood the meaning of this kind of novel, so I insist on refreshing it every day to try to understand the deeper meaning 🐶
I cried. I ran outside the Louvre all night and cried bitterly. The security guard asked me why I was crying here. I cried and showed your article to the security guard. The security guard also cried after reading it. He cried and said that he had found a piece of art that had been lost in the Louvre for many years.
Even if it is a whimsical setting, the whole article is very smooth to read. At most, the world view changes midway, which is a bit unexpected, but it is also a very happy and warm article. I am very grateful to the author for bringing us such a happy possible world.
Great, although the author said that this is a setting that was inspired by the original work halfway through, but I'm really happy. Let's all live happily like this.
There is a warm, warm feeling, and we are all very happy, everyone
Noctua is already very experienced 🐶
