[Raging Fire] A Guide to Raising Cats

*Pairing: Qiu Gang'ao x Chen Zefeng

*Inspired by the movie; heavily altered, canon rewritten, fictional elements, OOC, and whatever else comes to mind

*Qiu Gang'ao's years as a police officer make up three-quarters of the novel. There are lots of ordinary little moments from university life. The story is mainly told from Chen Zefeng's perspective, with no major twists or deeply tragic drama.

*The heroine is an eccentric cat with an unusual personality. There are other original characters.

*The professional knowledge and competitions in the story are all made up and extremely inaccurate, so don't take them too seriously (.)

*Very little of the original plot appears. Unless something unexpected happens, everyone will get a happy ending. Judging by the current outline, there probably won't be any murder or revenge. Everyone's personality differs from the original drama.

*Some other Hong Kong movie characters will make appearances. I want to write a lighthearted daily-life story, so none of the characters who broke our hearts will get killed off ^^

Blurb One

Qiu Gang'ao met a peculiar hostage and eyewitness during a hostage rescue operation.

A mainlander, a high-functioning person, and a top student at the University of Hong Kong. Her life seemed to be going smoothly, and she was nothing like him, a police inspector who dealt every day with the filthiest and darkest sides of society.

If nothing unexpected happened, this would probably be the last time they met.

As it turned out, you should never speak in absolutes.

A few days later, Qiu Gang'ao ran into her again at the neighborhood grocery store he often visited.

According to her file, high-functioning people tend to focus their energy on what interests them, which can make them less aware of their surroundings. In practical terms, they may be indifferent to everyday matters such as socializing, eating, and sleeping.

In Qiu Gang'ao's words, that meant people like her weren't very good at taking care of themselves.

He thought she was exactly that sort of person.

His sense of duty as a police officer was at work, along with some feelings quietly growing inside him that he couldn't quite explain.

What else could he do? He'd just have to keep a closer eye on her.

Theme: Perhaps time is a circle. After all the twists and turns, the people you care about will find their way back to you.
