Behind the scenes + players + supernatural abilities + video game
A chuunibyou prankster, tsundere, foul-mouthed cat-like top x a cool, naturally wicked, insanely powerful gravity-type bottom. Childhood friends turned strangers who meet by chance.
Listen, my friend, this world is about to meet its end.
Su Zhenyi inherited the legacy of a world that had perished, becoming the only esper in this world. Its final whisper still echoed in his ears.
"The calamity that destroyed us is already hanging over your heads. The future rests on your every thought."
Who could say whether that was fair? Why not entrust the burden of saving the world to some mastermind, instead of a regular streamer like him who just wanted an ordinary life?
After much deep thought, Su Zhenyi decided to start with what he did best.
Unknown monsters tore through the void, while ancient enemies salivated behind the curtain.
What price would we pay to survive?
"Hold on! What are you babbling about? Have you not downloaded Second Descent?"
Amid the chaos, a certain urban legend quietly began to spread: If you held firmly to your resolve to fight back, a mysterious game would appear on your phone.
Powerful psychic abilities, yours with a single tap! Slash through ■■ for 999 damage! You are the savior of the future!
"Zhenyi, could you explain your current job in a little more detail?"
"Well, I usually call it emotionally empowering intervention. It's a specialized field rooted in restructuring the narratives of other people's lives, directly targeting the blind spots in their perceptions and reshaping their sense of direction in life through one-sided output.
"Uh, some people occasionally call it meddling, though."
His long-absent old friend shook his head and said seriously, "We usually call it cats saving the world."
Potential trigger warnings I've thought of so far:
1. The protagonist is an unconventional one-man powerhouse.
2. Even though it's a behind-the-scenes story, the protagonist will appear in public under a secret identity (which will not be exposed).
3. The protagonist has multiple people with one-sided feelings for him, but only reciprocates the feelings of his partner.
For now, I'll use a commissioned template character illustration as the cover.
Theme: There has never been a savior, and we don't rely on gods or emperors.
