The story focuses on forbidden, restrained longing and tension: the one in the lower position fights and competes for love, while the one in the higher position knows better but still falls.

When he discovered Li Chun's feelings for him, he even wondered for a while whether he had unconsciously seduced her and given her the wrong idea.
When a drunk Li Chun kissed and caressed him, he knew all the more clearly, as the older one, that he was the one who deserved to go to hell.
