Synopsis:
My newlywed husband died.
He left me an inheritance with a balance almost longer than a phone number,
and his newly adult younger brother.
Everyone felt sorry for me and my husband, saying we had been a perfectly matched couple.
But they didn't know we'd gone from falling in love to getting married in just one month.
And before I officially married him,
I already knew he was terminally ill and had little time left.
I wasn't sad.
His parents were both dead, and he had few family ties.
The only thing I had ever wanted was his considerable inheritance.
After he died, I put on a grieving act and wept bitterly.
Everyone sighed over what a tragic couple we were.
Even his only younger brother fell for my act and patted my shoulder to comfort me.
Wiping away my tears, I gave a flawless performance: "It was only a month, but I really did love him so much... Do you believe me?"
His younger brother fell silent for a moment, then reached up to wipe away my tears and suddenly pulled me gently into his arms. "I do."
I froze for a moment.
Looking at the tall, thin young man, I saw that his still-youthful features were already beginning to resemble his brother's.
Even his speech and expressions were exactly the same.
"You look so much like your brother."
That night, I couldn't help reaching out to trace his face.
But he suddenly covered my hand, pressing it against his cheek. "Think of me as your brother."
He tilted his head and kissed my palm.
"I love you too."
