"I Want You to Mark Me" is an explicit novel with an ABO setting. The original is a ridiculous, over-the-top mess, yet its key scenes drag so badly that readers have turned against it. To bring back the explicit novel's glory days, the Trash Novel Rescue System carefully reviewed its candidates and picked Hao Ren, a chef who was good at cooking. Paired with the original story's vicious, trashy second female lead, the System was sure she could win readers' hearts back.
On the first day after transmigrating, the System excitedly watched Hao Ren reach toward the unconscious Omega who had just been marked, thinking, Come on, give us something spicy!
Instead, it watched her blush and pull the Omega's shirt back up from where it had slipped down to his waist.
The System broke down: What are you doing? Get cooking already!
Only then did Hao Ren realize what it meant. She hurriedly said, "Yes, yes, yes," then rushed to the kitchen, chopped and fussed around, and brought out a bowl of brown rice.
The System: ...Wait, do you know what "cooking" means?
Hao Ren: Of course. I've been a chef for ten years. How could I not know?
The System: ...
That's not that kind of cooking, girl!!!!
The good news: Honest Hao Ren has transmigrated straight to the end of the book, where she was exiled to planet M27 after failing to force the male Omega lead into a relationship. She doesn't have to go through all that messy, over-the-top love and hate, which is a huge relief for someone whose name literally means "good person."
The bad news: There's only one paragraph left before the ending:
"As famine and poverty drove her ever more insane, she recklessly abused the Omega and was killed on planet M27, bringing her life as a scumbag to an end."
Looking at the man at the foot of the bed, covered in bruises and unconscious,
Hao Ren: ...Is it too late to say I won't do it?
Later, when readers clamored for her to return to the home planet and teach the other Alphas how to behave, Hao Ren was greeted with rare applause and flowers. But the man dragged her into a corner. His eyes were bloodshot, his body radiating an intensely bitter coffee-scented pheromone. He stared at her with desperate, stubborn intensity.
"You left me behind... Didn't you say this was your favorite scent?"
Hao Ren: ...Is it too late to say yes?
[Reading Guide]
1. The ending is 1v1. The female Alpha is kind, tolerant, good-tempered, honest, and a great cook. The male Omega is cool and taciturn on the outside, but later becomes an unhinged, lovesick househusband. Their pheromones are coconut and coffee. (The author loves coconut Americanos.)
2. The heroine really is an honest person, but has a strange charm that attracts many one-sided crushes. She doesn't understand what the big deal is about explicit scenes, but somehow ends up accomplishing the System's goal by sheer coincidence. The early story takes place on planet M27, focusing on survival, stockpiling supplies, getting by, and raising an Omega. Later she returns to the home planet, where it's all about the trashy Alpha finally coming back to set the industry straight.
3. The earliest version of this blurb dates back to December 18, 2025. I'll start this one after finishing my previous book.
