Lin Zhou is the highest-level, nationally treasured scientist in a doomsday utopia.

Brilliantly intelligent, cool, and abstinent.

To find a cure that can save the world, he leaps from a cliff. He expects to crash into the wasteland and die, but instead lands in a warm embrace.

When he wakes, an off-road vehicle has just crushed the skull of a high-level zombie.

The young man behind the wheel, covered in bloodlust, turns around. The instant their eyes meet, all his murderous intent vanishes. He smiles, dimples appearing on his cheeks:

“Ge, you're finally awake!”

Lin Zhou calmly studies his harmless-looking smile.

He thinks: If my whole family hadn't died in the virus outbreak, I might almost believe you.

But he soon discovers something more important: Feng Xiao is immune to the virus.

He's the perfect sample Lin Zhou has dreamed of finding.

What Lin Zhou doesn't know is this:

Feng Xiao didn't approach him because he'd mistaken him for someone else.

He acts obedient, plays the victim, calls him “Ge,” and gradually drags the lofty Lin Zhou into a cage of his own making.

Only the marauder camp knows that after slaughtering his way through half the wasteland, the Asura who walks over mountains of corpses will bury his face in Lin Zhou's neck and whimper:

“Ge, the monsters outside are so scary. I scraped my hand. Blow on it for me.”

Lin Zhou looks at the wound, which would heal in another second, and falls into deep thought.

Later, the laboratory's highest-level isolation door is locked tight.

Lin Zhou is pinned against the cold lab bench, with nowhere to retreat.

The innocent puppy drops his disguise. As he slowly unbuttons Lin Zhou's lab coat, he earnestly discusses what he's learned from books from the old world:

“Ge, the book says it should go like this... right?”

The next day, Lin Zhou clutches his aching back and glares at his own notes, titled “Feng Xiao's Physical Limits Report.”

“Why did I ever think... this dog was completely harmless?!”

A mix of sweet and angsty romance, with a happy ending

Xie Zhibai, an ordinary employee at a gaming company, accidentally enters the horror world known as the Tower of the Abyss.

His teammates break down, bystanders die horribly, and newcomers burst into tears.

He vows to survive and make it out, no matter what it takes, and use his completion points to buy a happy future.

But as soon as he steps into the first instance, a man blocks his way. His presence is formidable and his gaze burning.

“Xie Zhibai, I've been waiting for you for a long time.”

“Who are you? How do you know my name?”

Shen Weiming is the leader of the Abyss Tower's top guild, an expert ranked far above everyone else on the completion leaderboard.

Rumor has it he's vile-tempered and arrogant, a mad dog who hates everyone.

No one knows he's crossed hundreds of worldlines just to find the master who once reached out to him and dazzled him throughout his youth.

But now his master has amnesia.

So he answers, “I'm your lover. Don't you remember?”

At first, Xie Zhibai naturally doesn't believe him.

But Shen Weiming knows all his likes and dislikes. He gives him fluffy pink bunnies, keeps him away from peanuts he's allergic to, knows the spot where he's most ticklish, and even risks his life to take a fatal blow for him.

Xie Zhibai begins to waver. After all, no one would suspect someone who gives them his whole heart.

He decides to accept Shen Weiming and rekindle their relationship.

Then the instance item “Dreaming” finishes synthesizing, and his memories return.

He sees himself taking in sixteen-year-old Shen Weiming, who clutches his clothes and obediently calls him “Master.”

Back in the present, Shen Weiming smiles and leans closer. “Xiaobai, what do you want for dinner tonight?”

Xie Zhibai raises his hand and slaps him. “You little brat! How dare you trick your own master!”

Shen Weiming doesn't flinch. He grins, catches Xie Zhibai's wrist, and kisses it.

“There's no need to reward me so lavishly.”

Xie Zhibai: “...”

Can someone tell him why the rose he raised himself turned out nothing like him? Not only is he different, he wants to sleep with him!
