A BL fanfiction based on the traditional wuxia storytelling performance The White-Browed Hero, focused on the "Circle of the Three Sages."
The loves and hatreds of the Circle of the Three Sages, and entanglements across generations.
"All for Martial Sage," centered on Yu He, a tangled mess surrounding the beautiful Martial Sage.
It branches out from Xue Zhulian x Yu He (Xue Yu), and includes romance, flirtation, friendship, and family affection.
Follows the original, BE warning, world collapse, a true everyone-gets-a-BE story.
Please read the following:
The storytelling performance The White-Browed Hero was created by the renowned storyteller Shan Tianfang, based on Qing dynasty performer Shi Yukun's casebook novel The Three Heroes and Five Gallants and its sequels, including The Five Younger Gallants. All the central characters in this work are original characters created by Shan Tianfang.
The "Circle of the Three Sages" is a personal interpretation, centered on the three sages of the White-Browed world: Pudu, Xue Zhulian, and Yu He. It is a web of relationships among their direct disciples and friends of the same generation, whose lives are far removed from the protagonist, the White-Browed Hero Xu Liang. In the original, the Three Sages are powerful figures who remain in the background. Aside from the character backgrounds and main plot points given by Shan Tianfang, all other settings are my own fan-created additions.
Buffs: classic from another era + childhood memories + niche interest + a tiny fandom + obscure characters.
There may not be many people who listen to traditional storytelling these days. By chance, I revisited my childhood and cracked the code to a profound mystery: in this sea of worldly suffering, love and hate know no bounds; fate brings people together, and love follows where the heart leads.
"Childhood sweethearts," "love that began well but ended in sorrow," "the selfish side of sages," "a scoundrel's sincere love," "love amid bitter enmity," "the moon held high," "flowers reflected in a mirror, the moon in water": it's all here...
This work gives thanks to:
Mr. Shan Tianfang and The White-Browed Hero;
Fellow fans and everyone who loves traditional storytelling;
My younger self, whose feelings were the most sincere.
Theme: Follows the original, a true everyone-gets-a-BE story.
