The word "quiet" has never seemed to describe Xia Li. As her dad puts it, she acts like her butt is on fire, as if there are fleas running all over her.
To cure Xia Li of her habit of climbing all over the house, her parents decided to give it a try. When she was four, they sat her down in front of a piano.
Amazingly, Xia Li was unexpectedly well-behaved and showed remarkable talent for playing the piano.
She told her parents that one day, she would become a pianist!
Before long, Xia Li gained her first audience member.
The boy next door was called Jiang Yiming. Xia Li noticed that whenever she practiced piano, he would quietly climb over from his balcony and crouch by her window to listen.
