After the Treacherous Minister Died, He Became a Tyrant

Song Jianxing was no good person. He had known both ruin and glory, and in the end, dying without a whole body was what he deserved.

But perhaps Heaven took a liking to him. After he died, instead of being dragged to the eighteenth level of hell by the underworld's bailiffs, he was left to wander the world as a ghost. That was bad enough.

Then a cold-palace prince born on the same day as him drowned in the palace, and Song Jianxing took over the boy's body and became the old emperor's son. He had spent his whole life trying to curry favor with the powerful, only to become the most powerful man in the world himself. It was almost laughable.

More laughable still, the old emperor died suddenly, and several princes were killed in an armed rebellion at Wumen Gate as they fought for the throne. Only he, the prince from the cold palace, survived. The very next day he was robed in imperial yellow and ascended the throne, becoming a puppet emperor with no real power.

If he wanted to fight his way to survival, Song Jianxing had no choice but to become a reckless tyrant.

And the first thing a tyrant had to do was snatch the enemy he hated to the bone and loved with all his heart from the hands of the Nine-Thousand-Year-Old.
