Slow-paced · Everyday fantasy · Tavern management · Ensemble cast of many races · Slice of life · Healing · A touch of mystery · No romance for the heroine
Liriel, a half-elf, inherits her great-aunt's Acorn Tavern, only to find that apart from two oak trees on the verge of gaining sentience, the only other person there is Vili, a halfling who claims to be the manager.
He says his wages were paid ten years in advance, so he has to work here for the next ten years. Liriel finds the situation suspicious, but she's more worried about the fact that the wine cellar is empty, the guest rooms have collapsed, and she can't even cook a decent meal.
Aside from the tavern, everything seems full of uncertainty: her missing great-aunt, the mysterious town...
If you'd like to stay, welcome to the Acorn Tavern for a drink.
