The band’s name translates as “Malice and Tragedy.” I chose it because I like the sound and look of those two words. I never gave much thought to what they might mean.
The stories I like tend to have tragic plots. I love vampires most of all. They drink their lovers’ blood, and then neither of them can escape the darkness. That way, they can never betray each other.
I have an unusually deep fear of betrayal, and I despise it intensely. I’ve been sensitive since birth, and I couldn’t bear that kind of pain. So I’ve never opened my heart to anyone, convinced that if I never depended on anyone, I could never be betrayed.
I never gave much thought to what fate might hold, either. To me, music is everything.
