Synopsis
In the fourth year of her marriage, she wanted a divorce.
~
The head of the Jin family, the richest family in Harbor City, was finally getting married. His new fiancée had grown up in an orphanage, with no parents, yet she was stunningly beautiful.
Rumors spread through their social circle that the orphan had gotten pregnant before the wedding and cunningly edged out the previous fiancée to marry into the prestigious Jin family.
After the wedding, Ming Ling grew increasingly pampered.
But her husband's old-fashioned ways, strict rules, and domineering nature
made their marriage a suffocating cage.
She was miserable.
In high school, Ming Ling fell for the top student and campus heartthrob at first sight. His cool, otherworldly good looks captivated her.
From the back row, she pursued this unattainable guy relentlessly, making a huge spectacle of herself, but he rejected her again and again, always citing his studies.
After the college entrance exams, perhaps he'd finally worn down, or perhaps he simply couldn't be bothered to reject her anymore. At last, they became a couple.
Their first love was innocent and sweet, and she clung to him, spending every hour of the day with him.
After they started college, their campuses were just across a sports field from each other.
She knew her boyfriend was poor, so their dates were limited to hourly hotel rooms.
Then one day, her boyfriend's expression remained cool as ever. He brushed the tears from her cheek and said casually, "I'm tired of this. Let's break up."
That day, she was devastated.
Only later did she learn that her boyfriend had won a scholarship to study abroad.
Two months later, she started dating someone new: handsome, gentle, considerate, and a gentleman. He was much older than her and took care of her so well that she gave in to his every wish.
Later, her new boyfriend became her husband, showering her with gold and jewels to please her.
In the fourth year of their marriage, she could no longer stand her husband's possessiveness, and they had a huge fight.
She stormed out the door and ran straight into someone coming toward her.
The familiar, elegant scent of cedar washed over her.
The man was still incredibly handsome, his features cool and indifferent. But when he looked at her, surprise mingled with a faintly wicked amusement.
Her husband wrapped a large hand around her waist and introduced him. "This is my younger brother. Grandpa raised him when he was little, and he only came back from abroad this year."
Only then did she notice how much the two men resembled each other, though not exactly.
Then one day, she finally worked up the courage to ask her husband for a divorce.
Her usually gentle husband turned grim and tossed down a stack of photographs, his voice low and heavy.
"Did you approach me because I look like him?"
The photos were unmistakably of her and her first love together, from high school through college.
There were even recent pictures of the two of them, taken secretly at a cafe.

[Reading Guide]
1. No pregnancy, and no children in this story! The male lead is strong and the female lead is weak-willed. She's an honest, unassuming heroine who's a popular beauty without realizing it.
2. All the male leads are virgins. There's a battle for the heroine, with one-on-one pairings at different stages, and the men are jealous dogs clawing at each other.
3. At first, they're all arrogant, entitled elites. When they realize the heroine loves none of them, they go completely crazy. They're all messed up in the head.
Theme: Tomorrow's sun will still shine brightly
