[A little sweet treat ☺️]
[Tsundere-faced, cute cat-person bottom x neurotic, faintly death-wishing top]
Black cats have a secret humans don't know: they have a habit of repaying kindness.
As a black cat, Sang En lives a simple life: stay away from bad humans, and reluctantly allow good humans to come near. Over the years, very few people have been allowed close to him, so his world is quiet.
But to fulfill his benefactor's dying wish, he approaches a bad human for the first time, serving as his nominal housekeeper while secretly keeping an eye on him.
He discovers that no matter how many dishes he smashes or little fish he kills, the bad human always praises him as a good housekeeper.
All right. Since this human knows how to appreciate him, he can be a little nicer to him too. Today, he'll pretend not to notice him sneaking out.
Keen-eyed Sang En soon realizes something is wrong. After setting things right, he finds the person he truly owes a debt of gratitude to: the bad human right in front of him!
That makes a lot more sense.
But later, Sang En's troubles don't diminish. He has to stop his idiot human from killing himself, deal with certain bad people, and even take charge of educating a human child.
Why is the whole world picking on black cats!
The black cat pats his cheeks and steels himself. "I'm a cat with a family now. Keep going, Sang En."
Sang En is just as busy today.
Dikel has always thought of himself as an unlucky human. In the past, he wanted to go outside but was locked up for years; he hoped to make friends but could only find a black cat to play with; he wanted to live well but couldn't.
Later, all he wanted was to stay home, but people kept dragging him outside. Whenever he wanted some peace and quiet, someone would stand at his door and chat with him. Even when he wanted to die, someone would always stop him.
Although life never goes the way he expects, Dikel has still become happy.
It turns out he isn't an unlucky human. He has Sang En.
One day, after another suicide attempt, Dikel hears a loud crash. He deftly gathers up the dangling rope and races out of his room.
"My vase, my kitchen, you can't be hurt!"
But when he sees Sang En standing amid the wreckage, holding food and gazing at him expectantly, Dikel still hugs his warm lover first.
"Thank goodness you're all right, my Sang En."
P.S.:
· There are a few Western fantasy elements, but they won't affect your reading.
· A very happy ending, so read with confidence.
· Stay or leave as you please. You don't need to tell the author (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)
Blurb posted on 2026.2.14. The full novel is already written.
Please add my upcoming novel to your reading list. I'd love it if you took a look!
"A Republican-Era Farmer, Running a Farm in the Apocalypse"
Blurb:
After an accident, honest country boy Sang Ning opens his eyes in an unfamiliar mountain. For no reason at all, he gets bound to a System and somehow gains a huge plot of land.
[...Gather resources and survive in... Please bind to the System and complete the "A Plot of Land from the Start" achievement.]
Sang Ning doesn't like taking advantage of people, but he has no choice. He has to survive.
"I'll only eat what I've earned. I'll stockpile the rest for the owner of this land and return it all to him someday!"
Sang Ning swings his hoe with all his might, making up his mind as he works.
His farming flourishes. After some time, a badly wounded man is chased right to the entrance of his farm.
Misunderstanding the situation, Sang Ning charges out, brandishing a broadsword.
He saves the man, but when he sees the stiff-moving "people" in the distance, their bodies blue-purple and their eyes rolled back, Sang Ning murmurs:
"Good heavens, z-zombies?!"
With the spirit of "nothing to lose by trying," Sang Ning manages to bring the tall man back to life.
Through him, Sang Ning finally learns that he is no longer in the familiar Republican era.
Instead, he has lived an extra five hundred years and landed straight in the apocalypse.
"Good heavens, I guess I got to play a living immortal after all."
Sang Ning chuckles at the man, more optimistic than ever.
He never expected that, in the end, after establishing one secluded farm after another in the apocalypse, he would truly become a living immortal in everyone's eyes.
