Although the brothers are three years apart, they look almost exactly alike. The younger brother's distinguishing feature is a mole on the bridge of his nose. The older brother has a clear face, without any freckles, moles, or the like.
The older brother is a rather insecure and sensitive sweetheart. The younger brother's personality is largely shaped by his environment: He's more domineering and rebellious, but in front of his brother, he can't help revealing his vulnerability and dependence on him. The younger brother doesn't hate his brother! He just resents him a little deep down. He's all bark and no bite!
Their personalities will become clearer in the story.
The ending may not be very happy: both brothers die. But I'll write a happy-ending extra at the end, using a wrap-party trope. You can treat it as part of the main story.
