The thing Su Runheng regretted most in his life was not getting caught up in the massacre of Moling, but calling Mu Chuzhi "big brother."

Mu Chuzhi was good to him, so Su Runheng naturally assumed the other man thought of him as a younger brother. In truth, the other man thought of him as his wife.

He had no idea that every night after the lights went out, his Brother Mu, the gentle swordsman, would watch him in the darkness. His gaze would slide from Su Runheng's Adam's apple to his collarbone, then from his collarbone to the hollow of his waist, inch by inch, over and over.

But before Su Runheng could discover what lay in that gaze, the massacre of Moling, a catastrophe that wiped out an entire family, burned everything to the ground.

Eight years later, Mu Chuzhi returned.

At a black-market gathering, their first encounter after reuniting was to pin each other at their sides.

"Shh. Don't make a sound."

His breath brushed Su Runheng's ear, making him shiver all over. That voice was deeper than it had been eight years ago.
