After Raising Five Heretical Babies

and finds himself an incredibly handsome husband.

But less than half a month after they married, his husband died in an accident.

Miserable, he ran off with his late husband's inheritance, hid deep in the mountains, and fell into a long sleep. Who knows how much time passed before he was woken by the constant crying and fussing of children.

When he opened his eyes, five little kids surrounded him. The oldest was only five or six, and the youngest was still crawling on the ground.

The moment they saw him wake up, they grabbed his tentacles and climbed up, shouting in unison, "Daddy, we're hungry!"

"Where did these brats come from?"

The Menace swung his tentacles, about to slap them away one by one, but the little ones chewed on his tentacles and wailed, "Daddy, we want food! We want to play! We want our other daddy!"

"You're driving me crazy!"

Only then did the Menace realize that somehow he'd slept for six years, and now the kids were crawling all over the place.

The pressure of being a single dad was immense. After much deliberation, he decided to use his late husband's inheritance to find the kids a new dad.

He took the children to the big city. "Keep your eyes peeled. If you like someone, just throw a sack over his head and take him away."

Sure enough, the babies soon found themselves a new dad.

"We found him! We found him! Our new daddy smells so good~"

The Menace hurried over and took a closer look.

Deep in the alley, a man in a suit was holding a knife and efficiently dispatching a heretic. His features were stern, and his presence was imposing.

That face was exactly the same as his late husband's.

When Wei Yi was newly promoted to head of a regional division of the Bureau of Anomaly Control, he found a blood-soaked boy beside a trash can on a rainy night.

The boy timidly called him big brother and secretly brushed his fingertips against Wei Yi's hand at mealtimes.

Wei Yi took him in. They fell in love, and naturally, they got married.

Half a month into their marriage, Wei Yi was given an urgent assignment and took charge of an operation to wipe out a super-S-class anomaly.

Wei Yi survived by a hair and completed the mission. He dragged his badly injured body home, only to find his own gravestone and an empty house.

His wife had run away, and the place looked as if it had been ransacked...

For six years, he searched like a madman for the faithless man, but found nothing.

Then one day, while in a neighboring city on official business, he casually dealt with a C-class anomaly and heard hurried footsteps coming from the mouth of an alley.

He turned around. A stunningly beautiful boy was tugging along five little kids, looking furtive and ready to run.

Wei Yi recognized the Menace. He gritted his teeth. "Oh, really? You see your husband and don't even say hello. Where do you think you're running off to, you little ingrate?"

The Menace froze. "H-how are you alive?!"
