Where the Wind Meets the Pondside Pavilion

Chi Yu was born with a top-tier Heavenly Spirit Root and a brilliant future ahead of him.

But he hit a snag during the Qi Refining stage. An elder secretly set him up, damaging his Spirit Root and leaving him tainted with demonic energy.

Things had gone wrong, but he was quick-witted and best at keeping a low profile and biding his time.

On the surface, he was a proper, dependable sect disciple. In secret, he thrived among both the righteous and demonic factions. He had connections on both sides, and no one ever saw through him.

He fought in the great war between the righteous and demonic factions, braved perilous secret realms, gathered all kinds of rare treasures, and even ventured to the distant realm of Lingsu Cang to broaden his horizons.

After many twists and turns, he crossed paths with the king of the featherfolk, Feng Qi.

While other cultivators are bound by the rules of good and evil, he prefers to get along with everyone.

Let the demonic path distrust him, let the demon clans keep their distance. No matter how many storms arise, he'll keep maneuvering at every turn.

Feng Qi (top) x Chi Yu (bottom)

A cold, taciturn featherfolk king as the top x a sharp-witted, socially adept bottom

They test and tug at each other, trading blows and words, until they finally become Dao companions.
