Amid the cicadas' cries in midsummer, three girls, Song Zhiran, Su Xiaotang, and Xu Nian'an, meet and grow close, spending three years of high school alongside Jiang Chenyu, Gu Yanze, and Lu Xingci. They help each other in class and grow through setbacks, holding fast to what they love and cherishing one another's company. They shed their childishness and overcome their anxieties, writing a healing yet passionate chapter of youth with warmth and resolve, tucking their youthful secrets and heartfelt friendships away in old desks bathed in summer breezes and sunlight.
