Peng Yu is a legendary figure in No. 3 High School's history department. A former special forces soldier, he dresses like a fashion magazine model, gives great lectures, and has a great sense of humor. Unfortunately, he's a lifelong bachelor.

"I used to have a partner," Peng Yu says with a cheerful grin, sounding quite proud. "Fair-skinned, with a pointed chin and long legs. A surgeon, too. He even went to the front lines to fight the pandemic."

He just died.

Qi Yiling is someone who exists only in Peng Yu's stories. Almost everyone around him knows the name. For instance, he was always at the top of his class in school. Despite severing ties with his parents, he got into medical school with excellent grades. His research career went smoothly, and his life seemed to have green lights at every turn.

The only people who had ever seen him were Peng Yu's childhood best friend and his other old buddies.

"Old Peng, are you sure your partner isn't a ghost?"

Funny enough, when Peng Yu saw Qi Yiling waving at him outside the auditorium at No. 3 High School, he thought the exact same thing.

Qi Yiling and Peng Yu were together for thirteen years, and spent every one of those years in a long-distance relationship. Before they could even end the distance, Qi Yiling vanished without a word for days, then abruptly broke up with him in a single message: "Let's break up."

Who could have guessed that four years later, Qi Yiling would appear at No. 3 High School like a miracle, right in front of Peng Yu?

Peng Yu: "Well, look at that. You're still alive?"

The next second, Qi Yiling retched, his heart raced, and his hands trembled. His face was as pale as paper as he smiled and said, "Yeah. So I wanted to see you again before I die."

Peng Yu thought Qi Yiling had come back to get him to take him back. But at school, Qi Yiling never sought him out. At home, he had even forgotten where his old cup was.

"Fine." Peng Yu gritted his teeth in anger. "At least you haven't forgotten that I'm your man."

Qi Yiling opened his mouth, but the words of explanation stuck in his throat. In the end, he could only give a faint smile. "I really did forget."

If he'd forgotten, then Peng Yu would just have to help him remember. He might not be good at much else, but he was confident about loving Qi Yiling.

"Doctor Qi." Peng Yu knocked on the school clinic door, leaning against the frame with a beaming smile. "Are you free after work? Let me invite you to the supermarket to pick up ingredients."

"You only like my face. If I lost my shamelessness, what if you stopped liking me?" Liang Qingyu leaned close to Xia Shangzhou's ear and whispered, "I wish that before our trip ends, darling will make me official."

The wind still howled across the grasslands. Xia Shangzhou and Liang Qingyu sat among a group of college students on a graduation trip.

"Sing me a song," Liang Qingyu said. Half his face was hidden by his hair, so Xia Shangzhou could only see his beautiful, jade-like chin.

Xia Shangzhou didn't know what he was getting at, but still took the guitar someone beside him offered. His voice was a little hoarse. "Okay."

"I'll remember your face forever."

"I'll treasure the memories you gave me."

There were so many stars in the sky, Xia Shangzhou thought, just like Liang Qingyu's tears.

"These days will never fade from my heart."
