My name is Hibari Tokiharu. I'm fifteen years old, and I live in Namimori, Tokyo, with my older brother, who is sweet but awkward.
My brother is incredibly popular around town. Everyone respects and adores him, and that means they treat me with plenty of affection, too.
But all that over-the-top affection is a bit of a headache.
I wanted to grow into an independent, mature adult, so I secretly changed my high school entrance exam preferences without telling my brother. I chose a religious boarding school for jujutsu sorcerers, far from Namimori and all the way across Tokyo.
I heard that my classmates and seniors were all independent adults who could support themselves even while they were still students. I decided that once I enrolled, I would quietly observe them and learn as much as I could.
Today was my first day at school. Two boys were sparring as soon as classes began, while a girl was completely absorbed in a book thick as a brick. As a Libra, I was paralyzed by indecision.
