Born with a disability in his left hand, he never complained that fate was unfair. Once a bright and optimistic boy, he was cruelly toyed with by fate once again. In a single night, he lost all his family, both his legs were shattered, and he was left to face the family business his father had built, along with a suspicious death shrouded in mystery. As he pursued the truth, he grew darker step by step, shutting himself away in a cage of darkness. He believed loneliness and hatred would be his companions for the rest of his life, until he met two women.
One knew there would be no happy ending and had already been rejected, yet still chose to pursue him relentlessly.
The other was willing to wait forever, until he had avenged his great wrong and emerged from the abyss, ready to let go of his hatred.
"You've seen what I look like. Do you still love me?" This was the humblest question he kept buried in his heart.
But fate is cruel. The words, "You said you'd wait for me to come out. Why?" speak of the helplessness of parting and the anguish of how everything has changed.
The story follows three main plotlines, laying bare the complexity of human nature and the sincerity of true feeling.
There is emotional and physical angst. If you can't handle angst, this may not be for you.
I started writing this novel because I felt that a man like the protagonist deserves to be loved. Though a wheelchair confines his body, his heart shouldn't be imprisoned by hatred.
Theme: Even if the whole world abandons you, there will still be someone who loves you deeply, simply because you are you.
