A Note Up Front
This is the first novel I've ever finished. I couldn't bear to leave it behind, so I moved it to this account. I've copied the author's notes over as well.
Looking back, it's a little embarrassing, but it's free, and I wrote it for love. If you don't like it, please don't yell at me. Thank you.
I might edit it a little.
The old cover is so long gone that I can't find it anymore.
Blurb:
A Yao came across a freestanding door on the street. Its frame was pink. Hey, you know what? It really did look like the Anywhere Door from Doraemon.
Just for fun, A Yao turned the doorknob like they did in the manga. She wasn't expecting much, but the next second, white steam poured out through the keyhole and enveloped everything...
He still remembered their first meeting, on a sunny afternoon in Sicily. Reborn had seen her frightened into tears by a little dog, then fall into the river. Even now, he could still vividly recall the way she'd wiped her tears with her wrist.
After transmigrating to Sicily in the 1970s, A Yao gained a killer as a companion. In this place full of Mafia families, she had the time of her life.
She thought this was how her life would go from then on. But who knew? She closed her eyes, opened them again, and transmigrated once more.
The second time they met was ten years later.
The killer boy from back then had become a gentlemanly, courteous assassin.
As the man closed in on her step by step, A Yao guiltily raised a hand. "Ah, what a coincidence, Reborn."
He arched an eyebrow and bent down to speak into her ear, his voice deep and magnetic. "Ciao. In Chinese, you'd say, 'Long time no see. I've missed you terribly.'"
"A Yao."
She thought nothing would go wrong this time, but A Yao transmigrated again. And again. And again.
At their third meeting, fourteen-year-old A Yao looked at the baby in a suit on the ground and tilted her head. "Uh, are you Reborn's son?"
The suited baby sneered and pointed a gun, transformed from Leon, at her.
"Hmph, you idiot, Yao. We haven't seen each other in over twenty years, and your brains have gone missing too?"
"Reborn? Reborn!!!"
A sweet little romance, happy ending, no angst. A Yao (Yao is pronounced like "yow").
Theme: The demon king R is not someone to mess with!
It ended suddenly. The origin of A Yao and the series of events that will happen in the future have not yet been written.
Hey - it's actually finished, I didn't get enough of it!
