[A world history-inspired setting, but no real historical figures] + [A cliche story about saving the world, like a shonen manga]
[Chuunibyou characters and cringey, over-the-top dialogue warning!]
Rumor has it the investigators in the CRC South China Field Division are all show-offs, and Jiang Yihe is the worst of them.
When she kicks through glass, she makes sure her reflection in the shards looks sufficiently graceful.
On a rooftop, she loves to face her enemies, spread her arms, and fall backward.
If someone is watching her, she adjusts the camera, flashes her most perfect smile, then makes a gun with her hand and presses it to her temple.
When she passes a stage, she remembers to tip her hat. When she leaps onto a rooftop, her silhouette has to land right in the middle of the moon.
Whether walking through the subconscious of the living or the dead, she must first maintain an elegant image: unruffled, carefree, composed, and completely in control.
That is the self-cultivation of a genius investigator.
And that is Jiang Yihe, owner of the Museum of Emotions, wielder of anomalous abilities, thorn in the side of the Seven Deadly Sins, the person you least want to cross in the South China Field Division, honorary bassist for the Vermilion Bird band, and the most powerful, most handsome, and most...
"Stop. Please don't sneak your personal agenda into the employee commendation report."
"Fine, I'll put it another way."
The CRC Field Division is a group of investigators who roam the sea of the human subconscious.
They weigh obsessions on a scale, balance the weight of souls, and clean up emotional contamination, both ongoing and left over from the past.
They deal with anomalies formed from emotions, uncover the truths buried deep in people's hearts, and maintain the balance between the material and mental worlds...
"Stop, stop, stop. Speak plainly. The shareholders don't like this sort of thing."
"Fine. In plain language: we're psychologists who physically exorcise demons by entering the world of the mind! We take cases involving both the living and the dead~ Wherever there's emotional contamination, that's where we are~ And we don't even charge~ Our lives are so hard, sob sob sob..."
"...Forget it. Just give me a one-sentence summary."
"You're not going to change it?"
"No."
"Put that in writing!"
"...Just write it already!"
"All right, one sentence... Hmm... Got it! How about this, "
Hello, we're investigators with the Center for Abnormal Emotion Containment and Control.
Please remain quiet from here on out
Because from this point forward, I will be the one weighing your soul.
Appendix:
Three questions CRC employees ask themselves every day:
Where did Jiang Yihe go yesterday?
Is Jiang Yihe in a good mood today?
Will Jiang Yihe destroy the world tomorrow?
[Content warnings]
1. The story is primarily plot-driven, with almost none of the usual infinite-flow elements like puzzle-solving, clearing stages, or tactical mind games. There will be a little combat.
2. The story revolves around obsession, so the individual arcs may have a heavy tone, but the main plot is a relatively light, level-up progression story.
3. The story's only guiding principle is a people-centered view of history; its only slogan is Long live the people; its only wish is world peace.
4. The historical backgrounds mentioned in this story are included solely to make it look cool and scholarly (or, as they say, to show off). They are not connected to any real history or real historical figures.
My other infinite-flow survival and base-building adventure, Wildlands Civilization: A Growth Journal, is complete.
Theme: Recognize your true self
By the way, I'm doing the Mid-Autumn Festival mission hahaha [make me healthy]
I'm so tired from writing and saving manuscripts, give yourself some encouragement [Sunglasses]
I really like this kind of cold humor [make me healthy]
It made me dazzled... For the first time, I felt that the picture described by the author was beyond my imagination.) How about slightly reducing the amount of image-based information, such as twelve-sided dice and books with eyes? In fact, they are not more convenient to read, sisters!
