Waiting for You to Look at Me

After seven years of working diligently as a screenwriter, Chi Guan finally strikes it lucky and gets the chance to work with Qi Jingyao.

Qi Jingyao is an A-list movie star at the peak of his career, with sharp features and a cool, aloof personality. He's especially good at playing emperors. The first time Chi Guan saw him on screen, tears streamed down his face uncontrollably, as if the man weren't playing a character but were the lover buried deep in his memories.

At the cast meet-and-greet, Chi Guan prepares well in advance and puts his best foot forward, hoping to make a good impression on Qi Jingyao. Qi Jingyao looks at him for three seconds, then turns to the person beside him and says, "He's not the one I'm looking for."

Chi Guan freezes.

He never imagined his idol would reject him to his face one day.

Much later...

The usually cold and exacting Qi Jingyao gets drunk, drags Chi Guan into an empty corner, and gazes at him with a wounded expression as he murmurs, "...Baby, when will you remember me? I've been looking for you for thirty years."
