After the Princess Consort Was Kidnapped

Commanded by imperial decree to marry for peace, Princess Qingning was abducted.

The man who took her was said to be the leader of a rebel army from the northern tribes. He was agile and swift as the wind, with a touch of wildness in his movements, but he was not as uncouth as the rumors claimed.

He always wore a terrifying mask that concealed his true face.

He called the princess "little beauty." He often said two things to her:

"Did you have someone you loved before this political marriage?"

"Smile, and I'll send you back to the Central Plains."

The princess met him with a cold expression and refused to yield, even if it meant death.

.

In the third month of her captivity, the northern tribes fell into chaos. Shuangyue was secretly sent back to the Central Plains, where she stumbled into Prince Rui's household.

The prince's wife treated her kindly. "You and my son are betrothed. If his master hadn't taken him traveling all over the land when he was young, you would have been married by now... Just think of this as your home. You needn't feel constrained."

Shuangyue was unsettled.

Shuangyue had a secret.

She wasn't Princess Qingning at all. She had taken the princess's place and gone to marry for peace in her stead.
