Gu Yanru grew up in a dysfunctional family and suffers from complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD). Recently, she switched to a new therapist.
But something about these sessions was strange: there was a mirror between her and the therapist.
So she confessed to her therapist without holding back. "I've fallen for my direct supervisor. I keep thinking that the last twenty years of my life have been so awful that even Heaven couldn't bear to watch, so it let me meet him."
On the other side of the mirror, the therapist slowly rose to her feet, her heart giving a small flutter.
Later, in the paddock at the Turkish Grand Prix, someone publicly tried to humiliate Gu Yanru. "What's your relationship with your boss? Are you his sugar baby?"
Her boss came over and placed a hand on her shoulder, his expression unchanged as he replied honestly, "I'm pursuing her, but things aren't going very smoothly."
