One-on-one. A story about a System and a (supposed) Host rekindling their relationship after completing a mission.
Diligent, cheerful System x Obsessive, brooding tyrant (sick with longing)
Qiu Xinghe was kicked out of the System Administration Bureau because of her first mission.
She helped an imperial princess ascend the throne, quelled a rebellion, ushered in a golden age, and made her a wise ruler for the ages.
The only thing she got wrong was choosing her Host.
But so what? The plot didn't go off the rails, did it!
Qiu Xinghe turned it over and over in her mind but still couldn't figure it out. In the end, she simply took physical form and went to investigate for herself.
Hey, why is this place plagued by war? It was thriving when I left!
Hey, what's with that look? All I said was that the current emperor is a wise ruler!
Hey, why are you having me dragged into the palace? I'm not ready for this!
The person on the throne sat with a long-haired cat in her arms and held a long sword that gleamed with a cold light.
Jing Huai Shan spotted the newcomer and smiled, lifting her chin with the tip of her sword.
