Pei Yajun is the perfect empress of the Great Liang.
Rational and restrained, she keeps the entire imperial harem in impeccable order.
Everyone says she's like a jade statue of a goddess: without desire, without heart, without feeling.
Until a minister's daughter named Chen Tingshu enters her life.
"Sister, why aren't you happy?"
"Sister, with me, you can just be Pei Yajun."
"Sister... your heart is beating so fast."
Pei Yajun discovers an incalculable variable in her perfectly planned life.
And this variable is smiling as she lifts the tassel on Pei Yajun's phoenix crown.
"Your Majesty, the tips of your ears are red."
