The worldbuilding is the author's own. Men and women are completely equal. Height, physical strength, and which partner can bear children are determined by genes, and the one who gives birth is not necessarily the weaker partner. In other words, even in a strong-weak pairing, the stronger partner may be the one who gives birth. Men's and women's physical structures are unchanged, so this is a BG story with a strong female lead, a weak male lead, the woman taking the lead, and a male pregnancy.
