Reader's guide:

1. Pure-hearted, straightforward student bottom x scheming, flirtatious tycoon top

2. A wolf in sheep's clothing

3. One-on-one, both sexually inexperienced

Chen Muye is an honest college student with a handsome face and great physique. By chance, he gets a job at Yu Jing Film Studio. A breath of fresh air in a world of fame and fortune, he becomes an oddity on the entire lot.

All he wants is to keep his head down, work, spend time in the lab, and find a way to pay for his grandfather's treatment. But then he accidentally knocks over a minor celebrity.

"You got my clothes dirty and made me twist my ankle. You're responsible for me now."

And just like that, Chen Muye somehow becomes Qiao Hecheng's temporary assistant.

When people on set give Chen Muye a hard time, Qiao Hecheng quietly handles it for him. When it comes to his grandfather's treatment, Qiao Hecheng secretly makes arrangements. It was all supposed to be a game for Qiao Hecheng, a way to test people's hearts, but Chen Muye's forthright reactions keep throwing him off.

Then there is the late-night digestive recovery plan, the boy who drives through a rainstorm to the mountains after losing contact, and that unexpected kiss when they're drunk. Little by little, Qiao Hecheng's heart falls into disarray.

At last, the cold-faced King of Hell in public and clingy, spoiled Qiao in private falls completely in love. But when will that honest college student catch on? And can that annoying childhood friend stay away? With no other options, Qiao Hecheng decides to overcome hardness with softness, using his superb acting skills to secure his place in the family.

"A Ye, you can't treat me like this."

"This isn't a passing fancy. It has to be you."

"I'm afraid it'll hurt. Can't you go easy on me?"

Before meeting Qiao Hecheng, Chen Muye thought: My heart is a field, and all I want is to devote myself to research.

Later, mistakenly believing they'd slept together, he bravely said, "I'll take responsibility." Then Qiao Hecheng devoured him whole.

He thought they would live happily ever after, but the struggling minor celebrity suddenly transformed into a rising star in tech. So the helpless act was fake, the destitution was fake, and even the family standing was all an act? Fine, fine! Let's go home! We need to have a serious talk about this!
