I Set Up a Stall, and My Ex Became a Milk Tea Tycoon

Chi Yu and Yu Feiwan got together while running neighboring stalls, one selling coffee and the other milk tea.

Yu Feiwan was gorgeous, with a graceful, willowy figure. Among the stallholders, she was known by the nickname "The Milk Tea Beauty."

Yu Feiwan once privately complained to Chi Yu that the nickname was tacky.

They met when they had nothing. They squeezed into a cramped rental room together, curled up on the bed eating instant noodles, weathered all kinds of hardships while running their stalls, and once had only eight yuan and sixty cents between them.

As they pushed their carts through the downtown pedestrian street, Chi Yu pointed to the prime shop at its very center and said that one day she would open the biggest coffee shop there.

Yu Feiwan only smiled.

Chi Yu was still dreaming of the two of them getting rich together when Yu Feiwan left with a wealthy woman.

She turned away, decisive and without hesitation. "Chi Yu, you know what? She can give me what I want. You can't."

After getting dumped, Chi Yu took a month to recover, then got back on her feet and reopened her stall.

Poor people don't have time to wallow in heartbreak.

Five years later, Chi Yu was still selling coffee, though she'd moved to a better spot.

Five years later, the hottest milk tea brand in the country, "Nightless Tea House," was opening its 3,800th branch in that same prime downtown location.

On opening day, the company's chairwoman, Yu Feiwan, came in person to cut the ribbon.

Chi Yu was shaking up coffee at the street corner when people crowded around her stall.

A clear, lovely voice asked, "Boss, would you sell me a cup of coffee for ten thousand yuan?"

Chi Yu looked up at that familiar yet strangely unfamiliar beautiful face. She couldn't bring herself to say no.

Because she was about to run out of money for rent.
