Lin Xian is the senior disciple of Wen Dao Immortal Sect, and the only human who can fight the Demon King Li Yuan to a draw.
Lin Xian and Li Yuan have fought each other over a hundred times, yet neither has ever won.
That changed at the Battle of Ghostcry Mountain. While the two were fighting, Wen Dao Immortal Sect used a trick to grievously wound Li Yuan, leaving the demon race badly weakened.
Unable to stomach it while recovering from his injuries, Li Yuan sneaked into Wen Dao Immortal Sect to teach Lin Xian a lesson. Instead, he found a badly wounded demon beneath the sect's cliffs: a little ball of white feathers. After searching the sect for Lin Xian in vain, he brought the bird back to the demon realm.
To his surprise, the little bird gradually turned into his nemesis, Lin Xian.
Li Yuan: ...?
But Lin Xian's soul had suffered severe damage, and he had lost all his memories.
Li Yuan: I've got a brilliant idea!
So Li Yuan coaxed the innocent, amnesiac Lin Xian into eating and living with him. Every day, he dressed the Lin Xian who had once worn plain, elegant white robes in lavish, exquisite finery, fed him all kinds of delicacies, and even taught the swordsmanship prodigy to give up his sword and practice alchemy and artifact forging. Before long, the once-slender Lin Xian had put on a whole ring of weight.
Li Yuan: Wen Dao Immortal Sect really doesn't know how to take care of people. Just look how skinny he was!
Then one day, while making pills, Lin Xian reached enlightenment, healed his soul, and remembered everything...
Bonus Scene:
Lin Xian and Li Yuan sparred, trading blows evenly, until Li Yuan's sword sliced through Lin Xian's clothes, revealing his snow-white skin and slender waist.
Li Yuan froze, looked away, and coughed lightly. "How about you change clothes before we continue?"
Lin Xian sneered, raised a hand, and tore off the ruined clothes, stripping them away. While Li Yuan stood there blushing and stunned, Lin Xian seized the chance to punch him.
Li Yuan: Hiss... Why does this feel kind of good?
